Want to know a little secret? I don’t spend hardly any money redecorating my house. It looks like I do though, doesn’t it? I’ve always switched things around and bought little things here and there. Nothing major. But about a year ago I was REALLY craving a change in the scenery around here and all together a new look. But I didn’t have that kind of money.

I want to preface this post by saying: This was written before the Covid-19 pandemic and all of its effects on our lives. All of the doom and gloom saturating every available media platform can cause so much anxiety that it’s more important than ever to take intentional breaks from the information overload. It can be hard but I hope the following article helps.

Hi! I’m Leah, the wife half of All Things NEWELL. Today I want to share a little bit about myself and how I got here (here, as in this blog) so we can get to know each other a little better.

I’ve been sharing parts of my life on social media platforms for a long time now. Twelve years ago it started with promoting my art and furniture transformations on Facebook. Then my weight loss journey on Facebook and Instagram. Which let to a weekly column in the local newspaper. Who remembers ?? Fun times! At the same time, I started sharing local restaurants and businesses, fun new food products, outfits of the day, and beauty products that I love. All of this way before “influencing” was even a thing much less an actual career. I did it because I know I have great taste and want to share it with the world. *shrugs* What can I say?
